    Hi.
I installed the AMP plugin today, activated it and ran the config wizard.

At the incompatible plugin page I cancelled the wizard. I would like to delete the plugin now but get the error message ‘Deletion failed: There has been a critical error on this website.Learn more about troubleshooting WordPress.’

How do I remove the plugin the best way. I have read other recommendations to remove it completely via WP_CLI (whatever that is?) but isn’t there an easier way? And since I didn’t finish the config wizard I assume no AMP related data is created?

    NB! Plugin is now deactivated.

Thank you so much in advance.

    Best regards
    Søren

I have created a GitHub issue for the same, it also mentioned the possible cause of failure.

It will be very helpful if you can send Site health by following the steps mentioned above to find the possible causes of failure.

Sorry for the trouble but we are unable to reproduce the issue at our end, it’s been reported a few times before and we will really appreciate if you help us troubleshoot the error.

Additionally can you please confirm if you get the same error when you toggle-off data deletion on uninstall option from AMP->Settings->Other section (screenshot)

    Hi @milindmore22

The deletion of data upon uninstall toggle is switched on. I can confirm that.

Thank you for testing that for us, this will narrow down our debugging for the data deletion process, we will take appropriate action to optimize the data deletion in future versions.

Thank you again for your help!

    I have same problem.

I follow the note in plugins page: “Uninstall Note: To control whether all data from this plugin is deleted at uninstallation, first activate the plugin, go to the Other section on the Settings screen, and set the “Delete plugin data at uninstall” toggle.”
When i toggle off and save, i get next message:

    “Something went wrong.
A resposta não é uma resposta JSON válida.
Please submit details to our support forum.”

    * = +/- “The response is not a valid JSON response.”

I already try remove manually, in cpanel admin files, but i get error 500 in website, and need retore backup of website.

In Softaculous manager wp section, dont make effect and give msg “Cannot delete an active plugin”.

    Can help?
    Thanks
