Hi, radevwp. From the author of the Woocommerce plugin:
https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/pull/15862
Please let us know if it helps.
when they say “They need to append the additonal where clause to avoid SQL errors on
the feed URL.” they are saying woocommercce needs to fix this?
From the discussion, it looks as though the plugin has been updated w/the changes. So I’d recommend seeing if the plugin has an update via your dashboard, & if so, running said update & see if it helps.
Hello, I just checked the server log files and I have a somewhat similar WordPress database error. I use WordPress 4.8.1 and WooCommerce version 3.1.0 (will update to latest version of WC today). I use a theme based on Underscores.
[Sun Aug 06 06:34:07 2017] [error] [client 68.180.228.216] WordPress database error You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ‘AND comment_type != ‘webhook_delivery’ ORDER BY comment_date_gmt DESC LIMIT 1′ at line 1 for query SELECT wp_comments.* FROM wp_comments AND comment_type != ‘webhook_delivery’ ORDER BY comment_date_gmt DESC LIMIT 10 made by require(‘wp-blog-header.php’), wp, WP->main, WP->query_posts, WP_Query->query, WP_Query->get_posts
Is this a theme problem that causes the database error? I’m new to these things, any help is very much appreciated, thank you!
Hello, DodoDog, & welcome. It would actually be better if you start your own topic regarding this, as this topic hasn’t been responded to for some time, & the only reason I’m doing so now is because I forgot to unsub from it. Always better to start your very own personal topic.
Please update your Woocommerce & see if the problem disappears. If not, again, please post a new topic, to include your site url, your theme name, & your versions of WC & WordPress. You may post a link here if you wish so that the topic can be referenced. Either I or 1 of the other forum volunteers will be glad to help.
Sorry it took so long to answer Jackie, updated WooCommerce and the problem is solved. You’re right, next time I will make a new topic on the forum. Thank you so much for your advise, keep up the good work!
One more thing, should this topic be closed? And how do I do this (maybe I’m not authorised to do so,…) Thank you!
@dododog, if you’d please be so kind as to just mark the topic as ‘resolved’, that’d be good. Thanks. Glad the update worked for you.
Sorry, but the status of this topic can’t be changed to “resolved” because the option to do so is not active. The options don’t appear, no fold out and I can’t click it. Please advise how to solve this, thank you!
No worries, @dododog, just feel welcome here & forget the clerical stuff. Glad you got your issue resolved–that’s what’s really important. It’ll close on its own eventually. Good luck w/your endeavors.
