customize theme password protected

    Hi,

    a newbie here who wants to customize the theme of my website by clicking appearance – customize. Surprisingly I get this message:

    “This content is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:”

    Surprisingly because I can’t remember I ever set a password for customizing appearance. I tried the WP password and the landing page password but they don’t work.

    To be clear: I’m not looking for the password of the landing page. I know that one.

    Does anyone have any idea how to solve this? Thanks a lot in advance for your help.

    Can you Change your theme and than try to use customize option and let me know what happened.

    Hi @onafma,

    If you can access the dashboard then just edit the page and check on top right if there is an option selected password protected just above the publish/update button. If you do not want it to be password protected change that to public.

    Hopefully, it will fix your issue.

    can you please confirm me which theme you are using if its free theme than it could be home page password protected kindly check it ..
