To clarify I am trying to input a #color on the customize screen using TwentyFifteen them WP 5.3 . The screen is not wide enough to copy or paste the color.
How do I attach a screenshot here?

You should ask in your theme’s support forum. There is some CSS that is changing the layout of the built-in Color control.
