Have an “Artists” taxonomy for Products, but it’s not available as a search filter.

I saw this link with a code snippet to map and existing field to “duplicate the custom meta field to a Jetpack Search allowed meta” but it just creates a critical error on the site. Is there any more instructions on how to use this? …or more examples?

The field in question is an ACF created “Artists” taxonomy. Similar to the new Woo “Brands” taxonomy. I’d be fine if there was a function to copy the existing Artists tax values to the Brands tax values.

Any idea when custom taxonomies will be fully supported?

    Please advise.

    Thanks,
    Michael

Actually, I was able to use the “Term Taxonomy Converter” plugin to copy the tax terms values from Artists to Brands, but for some reason the Brand filter I added to the JetPack search widgets does not appear in the Instant Search overlay now.

    Hi @mpmchugh,

It seems like the “Artists” taxonomy may not be supported in Jetpack Search by default. As for the “Brand” filter not appearing, ensure that there is at least one taxonomy term for the given results, as filters will not show if there are zero matching terms.
