Custom fields in checkout

Hi,
we are using the BA Book Everything plugin and we need to add custom fields to the checkout.
At the moment, only a few user details are requested, but we need to collect some additional information.

Is this feature planned for future updates?
Or is there already a way to add custom fields manually (for example using hooks or custom code)?
