I am having the exact same issue. Here is what it looks like:

It happens on most but not all the images. [
<a title="Attribution License" href="http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/2.0/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow"><img src="http://attorneyexecutivecoaching.com/wp-content/plugins/wp-inject/images/cc.png" alt="" /></a>
Myroxie, I discovered how to handle the problem:
When you inject an image, it comes with caption and alt text included. Click to edit the photo, copy the caption and cut it from the photo.
Then, go back to the Text Editor and add the caption code below the link to the photo. If it’s easier, go to the Visual Editor and center the caption, now complete with hyperlink and Creative Commons icon in normal size, beneath the photo.
Moving the caption off the photo returns the icon to its correct size, and you don’t lose any of the important credit and acknowlegement information essential to using ImageInject.
Thank you, barnyoka. I did manage to correct it myself, but unfortunately that won’t really help. I am a designer and I chose this plugin specifically because of its simplicity to clients. Most of my clients are very untechsavvy, and all these gyrations make it a no go. So I will have to find another way to simplify their ability to use images in their posts.
