Hello Devs! Thanks for the plugin.

I need some advice. I have many courses with one video lesson. It is inconvenient for students to read the Course description and then go to the Lesson to watch the video. Even visually, “Course content – 1 lesson” looks strange, not professional and funny. I am looking for a solution to this problem.

The option to add a video from the Lesson to the Course description is not appropriate. Students must complete the course by clicking the “Complete” button, which is only available in the Lesson functionality.

If someone has already solved this problem, please tell me what to do.

My solution technically looks like this:

    1. If there is one lesson in the course, the course description page should not contain the “Course content” block at all.
    2. When a student signs up for a Course, instead of the “Course content” block, the content of a single Lesson with the end button is displayed.
    3. The URL to the Lesson redirects (301) the student to the Course page.
    4. The rest of the Student profile, Courses page and other places courses with one lesson should work as usual.

I am sure that everyone who has encountered Courses with one Lesson thought about something like this.

  • Hi Sanya,

I was hoping someone who had these same requirements would chime in.

As you’ve discovered, it would require custom code to implement such a solution, as Sensei LMS doesn’t have any functionality baked in to handle single lesson courses differently.
