Conflict with Sticky Categories

I’m using this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/category-sticky-post/ to keep that ‘Winners’ Circle’ post at the top of the category archive. And you can see in the footer that it’s also sticking the post to your mg quotes widget. If I deactivate the sticky post the problem resolves. I’m thinking there’s something that needs to be tweaked in the qutoes code to handle such an event. Any suggestions? (I’m a front end coder, can’t get my head around stuff that’s too deep into the PHP).
