Conflict with Flexslider
-
Hi,
Could it be that there’s a conflict with Flexslider? After updating Easy FancyBox to 1.8.6 Flexslider stopped working. Deactivating Easy FancyBox made Flexslider work again.

Hi, I’d need to see it live to be able to say more… Which of the plugins for flexslider are you using? https://wordpress.org/plugins/search/flexslider/
Hi Ravan,
Thank your for your reply.
I’m using the Flexslider by Automattic/WooCommerce: https://woocommerce.com/flexslider/. The plugin is integrated in the Maxima theme by GoodLayers (https://themeforest.net/item/maxima-retina-ready-wordpress-theme/4665137). Goodlayers emphasises the use of LayerSlider in their theme, but the FlexSlider plugin is definitely there as well.
I have to say it’s an old plugin: the last change log entry dates from 2011.
I can’t really show it live, because the slider provides important visual content. You can find the site here: http://www.wildlifevolunteers.nl
Can you tell me where I can find a slider on your site? I’ll try to set up a similar thing on a development site using the plugin from https://woocommerce.com/flexslider/ and hope I can find out more 🙂
Oh, hang on, it’s the header itself? I’ll try to reproduce it…
Hmmm, I thought the download on https://woocommerce.com/flexslider/ was a plugin but it’s the slider source which needs to be integrated into a theme first… I’m afraid I don’t have the time to do that 🙁
I tested Easy FancyBox in combination with https://wordpress.org/plugins/arconix-flexslider/ but encountered no conflicts. It must be the theme. Can you ask the theme developer(s) for support? They should be able to test this fairly easily 🙂
Hi Ravan,
Thank you for your efforts. Very much appreciated!
I’ll get in touch with the theme developpers.
