Hi,
Certainly! Smart Image Resize and Imagify can work together without any problems. While Imagify specializes in image compression, Smart Image Resize focuses on fixing issues related to image resizing.
If so, will I need to cancel the webp conversion from any of them?
Yes, I would recommend turning off either one of them.
My other question. Which one should I prioritize when I want to do a mass rebuild? So all my images are compressed in bulk by imagfy. Will the smart resizing plugin do its job properly after this process? Or should I rebuild the thumbnails again with the rebuild plugin after imagfiy is done?
I want to use your plugin for life and that’s why I asked detailed questions to avoid making mistakes in usage. Thank you for your understanding, this was my last question 🙂
For existing images, to ensure proper image processing, I recommend following these steps:
- Perform a mass rebuild using Regenerate Thumbnails
- After the rebuild is complete, proceed with running Imagify
It’s important to note that Smart Image Resize is designed to run before Imagify automatically. This ensures that all images are properly processed by third-party plugins like Imagify.
Hi,
I haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved.
