As said, on the web comments are open but on the ios app I get the ‘comments are closed’ and the comments icon is greyed out.
Thanks for the link! @rgiw could you show me exactly where in the app you’re seeing this?
For example, you mean when you preview the page from the editor, in the app?
Or is it from somewhere else in the app that would be a more public spot that I’d be able to see?
Also, is the issue happening only on this one post, or other posts as well?

I guess I cannot upload a screenshot here, so I try to explain.
When scrolling through the WordPress Mobile-App Reader, coming to my article, the comment icon is greyed out.
Clicking on the article opens the article page and when scrolling down I read “comments closed”.
It is with all my articles, whereas I see many other articles where I can click on ‘comment’ directly in the Reader List.
When clicking on my Website name in the reader list, all my articles are displayed, and there I can write comments.

@rgiw Thanks for explaining that you’re referring to the WordPress.com Reader, powered by Jetpack.
Since your comments show as open outside of the Reader, I don’t think this is a theme-related issue.
I would suggest you get in touch with Jetpack support to ask them to look into why they are showing as closed in the Reader app. You can do that here their support page. They should be able to take a look and help troubleshoot!

Hi,
using theme:twentytwentyone, on the WordPress iOS App I get a ‘comments closed’ message, while on the web, comments are usable. I explicitly did allow comments.
Does anyone have this issue too?
