I have the same. deactivating the plug-in did not solve the problem. will have to use a backup of the site.

Thank you both for your reports, and especially for posting the Warning message text.

I have released MLA Version 2.72, which disables the code responsible for the message. It would be great if you can update your system and confirm that the problem has been corrected.

Thanks for your update. I regret the trouble you are having.

It looks like you are having a similar but different problem, i.e., it is coming from some other part of the code. If you could post the actual text of the PHP messages it would be very helpful.

I am very surprised that deactivating MLA does not resolve the problem, since there is no MLA code running when it is disabled. I will do anything I can to help; any further details you can supply will let me be more specific. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Thanks for your update and the additional information. I am happy to read that your site is back in operation without too much disruption.

The warning message on line 325 is exactly what was wrong in MLA 2.71 and what I fixed in the 2.72 update. That line is now a comment, not an active statement, as is line 407 (from the first post).

I have done some testing on my own WooCommerce 3.3.4 site and I am unable to reproduce the problem in 2.71 or 2.72. It should only occur if the theme or some other plugin has added a hook to the upload_mimes filter and/or the post_mime_types filter. Does your site include a theme or plugin that works with MIME types or Media Library file extensions?

You wrote “restored the site from backup. everything works fine.” Does this mean you were using MLA v2.70 or an earlier version, or was this a new MLA install?

As I wrote, I don’t understand why disabling the plugin did not resolve the Warnings or why the 2.72 update does not fix the problem. You could try updating again, but if that’s not helpful I can give you a way to install both MLA versions at the same time so you don’t have to restore from backup if the problem recurs. If you want to try the “both versions” setup, you can give me your contact information through the Contact Us page at our web site:

    Fair Trade Judaica/Contact Us

I will respond with more details about that alternative. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks for offering to contact me through the site. We’ve blocked a few countries because the site has been hacked three times from them over the years. You can send an email to “info@fairtradejudaica.org” with your contact information.

@tskamath – I have been corresponding with @khomenkov, but it would be most helpful if you can tell me whether the MLA 2.72 update resolved this issue on your site. I have been unable to reproduce it on my own system and I suspect it involves an interaction with some other plugin or theme that is using one of the MIME type filters.

Thanks for your help and any other information you can provide.

I have released MLA version 2.73, which contains the final changes made for this topic.

I am marking the topic resolved, but please update it if you have any problems or further questions about the circular reference issue in the new release.
