Changing from Simple Product to Simple Subscriptions

    In the event where I have a ‘Simple Product’ with 10 existing orders, what would happen if I edited that product type to a ‘Simple Subscription’ instead?

    Do my existing customers still have the same access to their product as before, without having to pay the new subscription?

    Thanks for a great plugin.

    Hi @liam_uk7

    Changing the product type simply wouldn’t effect order access and it will not do any subscription related actions as for subscription to work, there should be a subscription order places with the product.

    @markhf Awesome, thanks for the information and quick reply. That’s great! Am I right to assume it works in reverse too? i.e. If a downloadable subscription is turned into a standard product, all subscribers will keep access via the simple product?

    I’m sure it’s the same thing, I just want to check. Thanks!
