Oh, man, I just saw this. I’m supposed to be notified when there are new messages, but wasn’t for some reason.
This is an obvious no-brainer setting that I need to add. You should be able to see, “Add €4.00 for 47” or “Add €4.00 for Size 47”, “Add €1.50 for Plaid” or “Add €1.50 for Color Plaid”. I just rolled out a major release, and wish I would have included this. I’m hoping I can get this included within the next two weeks.
If you can’t wait, you can change the attributes’ names. “47” now becomes “Size 47”. This won’t update the descriptions directly, however the latest release of Markup-by-Attribute has a bulk Reapply Markups action that will do mass updates of the description fields. If you can wait, however, I think that is the better option.
I just pushed out release 4.2 of Markup-by-Attribute, and it contains a setting to allow exactly what you are asking for. Check the WooCommerce ⇾ Settings ⇾ Products ⇾ Markup by Attribute settings page. Look for Include Attribute Names in Variation Descriptions. Turn this setting on, and you can use the Reapply Markups bulk action to force the change into the product descriptions.
Thanks for the suggestion. I hope it works for you.
