That’s odd that you got that error. There may be a temporary issue with your server. It can be manually deleted via FTP or through the file manager in your site’s control panel or cpanel. Navigate to this folder: “/wp-content/plugins/” and delete the entire “wp-spamshield” folder. Now that won’t clear out the database entries and settings since the uninstall script isn’t run. What I would recommend there is to wait a day or so after you delete the files from the server via FTP, then:
- Install a fresh copy of the plugin through the WordPress Dashboard.
- Activate it.
- Immediately deactivate it.
- Then click “Delete” and this will initiate the uninstall script. All traces of the plugin will be removed from the database.
