Cant retrieve password

I´ve contacted my host, and tryied to change the password through the FTP guide line in WP. I have 3 themes that figure there, dont really know which one is on right now, but I changed the Funtions.php in all.

HAEV I DONE THIS RIGHT? the code is
wp_set_password(‘password’,1);
AND I CHANGED IT TO:
wp_set_password(‘mypassword’,1);

The number 1 is the username right? anyway I tried entering the WP admin with my mail, former username, or the number, and it just wont work.

GOING NUTS!

I dont know MySQL or PHP so I dont really know what else to do. THE HOST does not give me any solution other than the same link to the WP guide line.
