One of my users attempted to reset their password and could not so I went into the dashboard and did a password reset for them and got this error in my log (and no password reset email was sent).

I disabled ClearnTalk Security and was successful at doing the reset as shown by the email log.

  • Hello @sharonq,

We need more details of the issue. Do you use a standard password reset feature of WordPress? Which is located here “YOUR_WEBSITE_NAME/wp-admin/users.php”.

I just did a random password reset of a test user while the Security Plugin is enabled, and I see no errors.

Do you use any other plugins to manage your users and reset their passwords?

Also, these details will help too:

    1. Your PHP version
    2. Your CMS version (also, is it MultiSite or Single)
    3. The link to the cache solutions if you use any

    Waiting for your reply.

Thanks for checking in so quickly. The plugin is disabled on my site at the moment - how were you able to turn it on remotely?

Single WordPress 6.6.2 with DIVI theme

the only thing I did to fix the problem was disable Cleantalk - it is still disabled

Not sure what you mean by Cache Solutions -
    -
I am using Select LiteSpeed Cache
    LiteSpeed Cache
Version 6.5.0.2 | By LiteSpeed Technologies

Anything else that would help? Should I turn it back on?

Picture of PHP status etc – not sure how to post it here

    Hello @sharonq,

I’ve asked our developers and most likely, this was a one-time problem, possibly related to cron starting at the time the plugin file was overwritten during the update.
Please, activate the plugin and recheck this issue.

If the issue persists, please contact us via our private Ticket System: https://cleantalk.org/my/support/open

    Thank you.
