I regenerated the ICS Feed URL and created the shortcode. However, it cannot be inserted in the data field of the plugin. The standard code cannot be removed either.

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how I can see how to set up the calendar? I would be ready to buy the Pro version if the synchronization works well.

Unfortunately, I already fail with the initial setup.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • In the example shortcode:

    [ics_calendar url="YOUR_ICAL_FEED_URL"]

You would replace YOUR_ICAL_FEED_URL with the URL of your actual feed. You might want to take this code instead:

    [ics_calendar url=""]

And just paste your feed’s URL inside the quotation marks.

I’m not sure what you mean about the “data field of the plugin.” This shortcode should just be typed into the content area of your page wherever you want the calendar to appear.

I probably don’t understand where I have to replace the code. I try it under the overview tab.

    [ics_calendar url=”CALENDAR_FEED_URL” title=”DISPLAY_TITLE” description=”DISPLAY_DESCRIPTION”]

However, the example code cannot be displaced.

When I use the code on a page via the code block (Gutenberg-editor) for codes, I only see the code as the result. No calendar.

Is there a tutorial for the light version?

Are you sure you have the ICS Calendar plugin installed and activated?

What do you mean by the “Overview tab”? That’s not a standard WordPress element that I’m aware of. I don’t really understand how it’s not possible to edit the shortcode to replace the all-caps placeholder code with your custom code. Can you post a screenshot of what you’re seeing in the editor?

In the Gutenberg editor itself you’ll only see the shortcode, but it should display the calendar on the live page. If you’re also seeing the shortcode on the live page, then you most likely don’t have the plugin activated, or there’s an error in your shortcode format.

Yes, I am sure that I have installed the correct plugin.
I can send you screenshots of this with pleasure.

    To which address?

I cannot insert any attachments here in the forum.

There is an email address on the ICS Calendar admin page where you can send the screenshots or additional info you don’t want to or can’t post here.

At this point I am thinking you may have a theme or plugin conflict. Please try testing for a conflict. (You can test plugins by turning them off one at a time, and you can test the theme by switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-one.)
