Cahe Issue on Advanced Tabs?
-
Issue Summary
I’m using a shortcode both inside and outside the Advanced Tabs widget. Although the shortcode output should always be identical, the results vary depending on its placement.- Outside the widget: The shortcode displays the correct data.
- Inside the widget (in a tab): The shortcode displays content from the previously visited taxonomy entity, not the current one — almost like a cache/reference issue.
No caching plugin is active on my site, and I’ve tested with hard refresh.
Context
- Environment: Elementor Archive Template for a Custom Taxonomy.
- Expected behavior: The shortcode should always render the current taxonomy’s data.
- Actual behavior: Inside Advanced Tabs, it shows data from a previously visited (or random) category/entity instead of the current one.
Support’s Suggested Workaround
Chat Support suggested the following (video: https://d.pr/v/YgHCj7):- Create a new Elementor container template.
- Add the shortcode inside that template.
- Use that template as the source inside the Advanced Tabs widget (instead of adding the shortcode directly).
When I do this, even if just for one TAB, the issue disappears and ALL tabs show the correct content. This means there is a data reference issue happening.
Conclusion
This workaround works, but it points to a content reference/rendering issue inside the Advanced Tabs widget.Could you please advise if this is a known bug, and if there’s a more direct fix (without needing an extra template workaround)?
