Whenever someone, other than me, edit and saves a page with a modal it breaks and only I can recover it. I’ve already tried giving people administration privileges and it didn’t work.

I don’t know what else to do.

Very strange, this type of message usually takes place when something changes but the code does not provide version control. Not sure why only you can restore it. Some things to check:

    1. Does this happen to all modals or just specific ones. What content do those modals contain (the change could be in the content code not just the modal itself).
    2. When you restore the block and save it, if another user then goes back in does the same thing happen or is it ok from then on?

It happens to all modals. I’ve had modal only with titles and paragraphs break, so I guess it happens to all of them, but I can test it further. I just need a co-worker to help me with the tests.

I’ve just fixed the problem temporarily by giving users super admin privileges, but I rather not give away privileges like that.

As far as I’ve tested, other users don’t even need to modify anything, they just need to enter the page edit and save. So I guess when WordPress parses the code to save it something happens and breaks.

It’s a multisite instalation, if it helps. And if you want to investigate further I can provide and help you with whatever you need.

When you give the users super admin does this stop it breaking or just allow them to fix the issue.

Also if you enter the page with the broken modal edit and save the page and then go back into the page does it break again or is it fixed from then on.

Giving super admin privileges to other users now prevents from breaking at all, no need to fix it again.

When other users are not super admin, after fixing and saving if they try editing the page again it breaks. Happens every time, and removes their autonomy from editing those pages, since I have to fix it right after, or else the page becomes messed up.

I’m currently using our staging site for validation purposes and last adjustments, but will soon (1-2 weeks) be able to test further and I’ll let you know what I find. Maybe it’s an issue with another plugin.

Thanks for your time and patience!

That’s strange I don’t do anything with privileges I just leave it to WordPress, I am leaning towards something to do with the multi-site installation.
