Hey! 😊 I’ve noticed that Omnisend has these “conditional items” in campaigns and automations, and I’m a bit curious about how people actually use them. What are the most common use cases? I feel like there are still so many features I’m not really using properly, and I’d love to understand better how they work so I can improve my store and workflows.

    Hi @leonie02,

That’s a great question — conditional items are a fantastic way to personalize your campaigns and automations so that each customer receives content that’s most relevant to them. Essentially, this feature lets you show or hide certain content blocks based on the data you have about each contact.

Here are a few examples of how you can use it:

    • Welcome automation: If you use sign-up forms to ask customers about their preferences, you can tailor the welcome message they receive based on the information they provide.
    • Abandoned Cart sequence: You can send a free shipping discount only to customers from selected countries.
    • Promotional newsletters: For example, in a Valentine’s Day campaign, you can show a special offer only to customers named “Valentine.”

This flexibility helps make your emails feel more relevant and personal — which often leads to better engagement and stronger customer relationships. If you’d like more guidance on applying conditional items to your specific workflows, we’ll be happy to help.
