Best for writers

I can see how the block editor could be useful for some things, but it is more tool than I need, to the extent that managing the tool becomes a burden. I tried converting some of my existing content to blocks, which was a big waste of time. I write long documents with a few images and the occasional table. I have no need for blocks and they just distract me and slow down the writing process.

I think that the two editors should live side by side in the main product forever. Tools are suited to particular tasks and the classic editor is wonderfully well suited to writing. The block editor appears to be designed to for producing complex, hybrid content. I don’t see how the block editor could ever become a practical tool for what I do.
