    Hello,

I have a problem with generating an automatic invoice. I am currently building a custom WordPress Web shop. Once i place an order i need to create the invoice myself:
Woocommerce –> Orders –> Click on Order –> PDF Invoice data –> Invoice Number.

Only after i have created the invoice, the invoice will be visible on the Account of the customer. I don’t want to do this manually every time someone places an order. I want the invoice to be created by itself. How can i do this?

    Cheers
    Quentin

    Hello Quentin,
The invoice will be generated automatically when you attach it to an order email. So for example, if you attach it to the Processing Order email, the invoice will automatically be generated once the order is paid.
Also, instead of manually inserting the invoice number and dat in the “PDF Invoice data” panel, you can just click the “PDF Invoice” button in the right sidebar – this will automatically generate the number for you (and increase the ‘next invoice number’).
You can even do this from the order list directly, if you enable the “Actions” column (top right “Screen options” above the order list), you can click the button there. This will also indicate if an invoice has already been generated, but a green checkmark:
