Attached documents question

Hello,

When someone fills out an application and includes documentation, the document is listed in the appropriate field. For me to read the document, I have to click on it (so far so good). It then opens a blank web browser tab and downloads the document to my download folder.

Is there a way that would allow me to read the document without downloading it to my computer? For example, could I tell the plug-in to let me read it in the blank web browser tab it opened?
