I am attempting to get the Google oAuth approved but get this email:

“The application name listed on your OAuth consent screen does not match the application name on your homepage.”

I named the application Social Register and created a page called social register with the instructed shortcode. I don’t find the instructions clear on what is the app “homepage”. I tried both my site’s homepage and the page I created for Social Register.

I have not worked with oAuth before and Google instructions are not very clear to me either. Help would be appreciated.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @awesomeopp

I have never seen this specific error before, and even now when I made a new App based on our Getting Started guide I could get it verified without any problems.

The App homepage is basically the homepage of your website. For the App Name, what did you set? It should be “South Puget Sound Woodturners”. Basically, it should be the same as your branding title to avoid confusion. You should also check if you have the correct project selected when you request the verification.

Thanks for the quick response. I changed the app name and resubmitted. I will update when I get a response.
