The plugin is not working for me. It is showing the following error message:

The API returned a 403 response with this message: Google Analytics for WordPress by MonsterInsights failed to retrieve the new report data. Error message: User does not have sufficient permissions for this profile.

We are using the Lite version. I believe we were using this plugin for free. Is it no longer free? I don’t understand why we no longer have the correct permissions.

Hi there,
The error indicates that the Google account used to authenticate the site does not have the necessary Google Analytics permissions to be able to pull data for the site.

This can occur for a variety of reasons, including things like changing your Google password or enabling 2FA, among others.

I would recommend re-authenticating, as that usually solves the issue (see Step 3 in this guide: https://www.monsterinsights.com/docs/how-to-fix-wrong-google-analytics-profile-selected-in-settings/)
