I don’t know what happend with the API Key that show a error…

I create it correctly with billing include, restrictions to the IP 164.132.171.44 and Places API, and with the Places API enabled (i follow the 10 steps).

So that i don’t know what is the problem and show this error: “Error: Your Google API Key is not valid for this request and permission is denied. Please check your Google API Key.”

    Regards.

Hello @luisle. Thanks for getting in touch.

This is a similar question to another post. It is pretty common and the text is a little vague (not so helpful). It could be one of the following in decreasing order of likelihood:

    1. Check the IP is current for your web server. Checking the Retrieved Data tab is a good way to spot the actual IP that the Places API is expecting. You can add this IP to your Restrict By IP. Note: it may be an IPv6.
    2. Ensure that you have the Places API enabled (check the steps) and this is also set as a restriction in the API Key Restrictions (it must have Places API, not something else set here).
    3. Your place is not a single location, rather a coverage area (known as an SAB). Single locations are required – all of these can be found in the Place ID Finder (see setup instructions).
    4. Less likely for you: You don’t have a billing account setup. This is now a requirement to use most of Google’s APIs including the Places API.

I hope this resolves the error for you. Please keep me updated here when you’ve resolved this issue as it will help others in a similar position.
