analytics.js cache settings

    I have static assets set to cache for 1 year. Will this cause problems, or is analytics.js renamed every time there is an update? (I noticed it was renamed automatically to a random looking string)

    No, that’s fine in most cases. The analytics.js library isn’t renamed on each update, but if Google adds new features to the library, backwards compatibility is usually worked in.

    At this point I would expect analytics.js to receive many updates anymore, since Google is focussing heavily on Gtag v4.
