My Google Web Stories AMP errors will clear when I clear cache, retest the Live URL and reindex on Google Search Console, but then come back when Google crawls again.
Back and forth, again and again. Super frustrating.

    CURRENT ERRORS:
#1. The tag ‘amphtml nomodule engine script’ is missing or incorrect, but required by ‘amphtml module engine script’.
#2 A mandatory AMP HTML tag is missing from this document.

  • Hi @avocadu thanks for getting touch. Currently when checking your story it seems to be passing AMP validation as seen here.

These errors you have listed are usually caused by a plugin conflict. I would be happy to look into this further if you could provide the following information:

    1. Your Site Health information or You can share privately if you prefer via this form.
    2. Are you clearing cache with a plugin and if so which plugin are you using for this?

    Thanks, Adam!

    1. I have summitted my Site Health Info via the form.
    2. I’m clearing cache with the Swift Performance plugin.

@avocadu thanks for providing the information. We have had a similar issue to this last week which was also due to a conflict with the Swift Performance plugin.

In this case disabling the plugin stopped the AMP validation errors. This looks to be the same issue and in this case I would advise reaching out to the Swift Performance team who will be able to assist you further.

If you continue to notice the validation errors after disabling the plugin then please do let us know and we can troubleshoot this some more.
