Alternative plugin?

    Hello

    Has anyone found a plugin that successfully replaces Exec-php? I have inherited a site that uses it to display posts published on a different database. But, the plugin is not allowing us to update PHP version (we are stuck with 5.6). And this makes it impossible to update other plugins as well.

    Any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you!
