I saw there’s an albums feature in the gallery plugin but can’t figure out how to use it effectively. Do albums group multiple galleries together or act as categories? I’d love a basic walkthrough or link to the correct documentation page.

Great question! Yes, the Albums feature is designed to group multiple galleries together, kind of like folders or categories. It’s perfect for organizing related galleries like grouping galleries by event, topic, or location.

    To get started:

    1. Go to the Albums section in the plugin menu.

    2. Create a new album and give it a name.

    3. Inside the album settings, you can add existing galleries to it.

    4. Once your album is ready, you can insert it into a page just like a regular gallery.

We’re working on making this feature even easier to use. Let us know if you’d like help setting up your first album!

Where do I find the “Albums section”? In my plugin menu there are only “Mange Galleries – Add New Robo Gallery – Overview – Support – Gallery Demo – Video Guides – Settings – Add-ons”, but no Albums.

My apologies, there was a mistake in my last reply. Actually, a separate Albums section is currently in its final testing stage. We will be releasing a new gallery version with this section in the left-side menu very soon. The current version of the gallery manages albums in a slightly different way. We’ve modified the Categories widget, which was used for gallery filtering in plugin versions up to 3, to now help manage albums in Fusion Grid (plugin version 5+).

    Here’s how it works:

    – Create your initial galleries for the main categories. Each of these will act as a top-level album.

    – Navigate to the settings of the main gallery you want to organize. On the right-hand side, you’ll find an Albums widget.

    – When you open this widget, you’ll see a list of all the galleries you’ve created.

    – Now, the key is to drag and drop the galleries you want to include as sub-galleries into the main gallery within this widget. This creates the hierarchical structure that functions like albums when you view the main gallery.

So, when someone views your main gallery, they’ll see the other galleries nested within it, effectively creating an album experience. The most significant aspect is that this implementation offers you full flexibility over your gallery structure.
