I keep getting extra sameAs fields for the author, which I don’t want and can’t work out where they are coming from.

I’ve tried deleting plugin with the setting so all data is deleted.

I’ve deactivated all in one SEO and still the same.

If i deactivate/delete Schema the “BlogPosting” hentry is gone for the page. When I reactivate Schema it’s there again, so it’s the only thing showing BlogPosting.

But I can’t see where it’s getting the additional sameAs fields from?

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks
    David

    Hi David,

The plugin gets these values out of User Profile > Contact Info. Which includes (Facebook, G+, and Twitter). These fields are added by Yoast SEO plugin.

So, I see you have 3 sameAs properties in the page you’ve mentioned.

Note: If you make any changes to those fields within the user profile, try going to Schema > Settings, and save the plugin settings once, this will reflect the changes you’ve made.

P.S. It seems that there is something wrong in Twitter’s sameAs field, it’s not adding the full URL. This mostly a ubg within the Schema plugin (I will be fixing it in a coming update).

Thank you for the reply Hesham.

Yes I thought it would be pulling those extra sameAs fields from the user profile but couldn’t understand why it was still doing so after I had deleted them (just have the google + one there). I’ve tried saving in schema and doing a full delete (by clicking the full uninstall option), then re-installing and still there. cleared cache etc.

I then added dummy text in the different fields and did the save and it didn’t update, so not sure what’s happening.

    Cheers

I’ve just tried it now, it works for me.

However, I needed to save the plugin settings after making changes to the user profile.

FYI: Saving plugin settings will flush all cashed markup in post meta, visiting a page or post will re-generate the markup again with the new values.

Maybe try saving the plugin settings again, then view the post and test it in Google Structured Data Testing tool.
