Adding Java Script code to Side Bar

I using WordPress with Ipower and I’m also using the default template. I wanted to add a java scrip to the right side bar, but I cannot find the correct file or something. I know it’s sidebar.php, but which directory or if anyone can help I would appreciate it. I’m very new at this. Thank You.
