Adding before/after elements to quoted text
-
I’ve recently started using this plugin in conjunction with Kadence. One of the complaints from users is that it is difficult in the HTML version to find the start/end of the quote. I’ve added some CSS to help with this, but it’s still not enough as it is hard to get to the beginning and/or end of the quote to start fresh (mainly boomer user group). For now, I’ve moved back to bbcode as it is easier to manage visually for our users.
However a nice feature would be if we could stipulate some HTML before and after the quoted text (e.g. I would put in an ‘<HR>’ tag before and after) to allow the user to easily find the start or end of the quote. I’ve looked at the front.js javascript and there isn’t an easy way to add this without basically modifying the code.
If this is part of the pro version, I understand. If not, it would be an easy way to make the HTML version more useful. That and maybe allowing some custom CSS to be added for the editor to style the quote (again maybe a pro thing). 🙂
Just thought I’d share my thoughts. Thanks!
