Add co-author functionality for all roles and update button enable for post

Hi,
I have few queries for the plugin

1. The adding of co-authors for a post is a functionality seems only applicable for users with admin roles.
For eg: if user John is an admin then he can add co-authors for a post.
But for user Bill its not possible because he is a editor.

Is it possible that we can make this functionality available for users from other roles as well?

2. The update button doesn’t seem to get enabled when we remove user as co-authors from the post. Is this an existing issue or do we have have to customize it?
