Adaptive Payments Possible?

    I’m using Adaptive Payments with WooCommerce. I know this is a system that is no longer going to be supported by PayPal or WooCommerce, but as things stand my Adaptive Payments work fine.

    Do you happen to know if the Subscriptions payments will play nicely with Adaptive Payments, or do you think this might cause an issue?

    I ran a test payment for a subscription and it worked just fine, my worry is it may not repeat the payment correctly in a months time. Any thoughts on this?

    Hi @liam_uk7

    You can manually test it by doing “process renewal” under subscription edit action list. Same action will be triggered on renewal date as well

    Status goes to ‘On Hold’.

    It seems that Adaptive Payments doesn’t have recurring payments by default. Looks like they do allow for pre-approval though, which I think might be a similar thing.

    Any idea how to get this working with your Plugin? https://developer.paypal.com/docs/classic/adaptive-payments/ht_ap-basicPreapproval-curl-etc/

    Or is this something that would need to be changed via WooCommerce? I’m using WooCommerce Adaptive Payments for my gateway if that helps.

    Hi @liam_uk7

    We are just hooking the PayPal payment request and adding the subscription details. So this “Adaptive Payments” should be handled by the payment gateway itself. Could you please check with the Payment gateway team regarding this.
