What actions should we see for wpforms?

I see many of the same name, I only have 1 or 2 forms but I have

    4 x wpforms_process_purge_spam

    2 x wpforms_process_forms_locator_scan

    1 x wpforms_email_summaries_fetch_info_blocks

    1 x email summary

    Does that seem right?

    Hi @tomflux ,

Thanks for reaching out! I’d be happy to clarify the scheduled actions you’re observing in WPForms.

    Understanding WPForms Scheduled Actions

WPForms utilizes the Action Scheduler library to manage background tasks efficiently. The actions you’ve listed correspond to specific maintenance and optimization functions:

    • wpforms_process_purge_spam: This action periodically removes spam entries from your forms to maintain data integrity and optimize performance.
    • wpforms_process_forms_locator_scan: This action scans your site to identify and index all WPForms instances, enhancing the accuracy of form locator tools.
    • wpforms_email_summaries_fetch_info_blocks: This action gathers data necessary for compiling email summaries, providing you with insights into form submissions and performance.
    • Email summary: This action generates and sends summary emails, offering an overview of your forms’ activities over a specified period.

It’s normal to see multiple instances of certain actions like wpforms_process_purge_spam and wpforms_process_forms_locator_scan. These tasks are scheduled to run at regular intervals to ensure your forms operate smoothly and efficiently.

If you’re interested in reviewing or managing these scheduled actions, WPForms provides a built-in interface:

    • Navigate to WPForms » Tools » Scheduled Actions in your WordPress dashboard.
    • Here, you can view all scheduled tasks, including their status and scheduled run times.

    Hope that helps!

    Hi @tomflux ,

We haven’t heard back from you in a few days, so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread for now. But if you’d like us to assist further, please feel welcome to continue the conversation.

    Thanks!
