    Hello,

I have my CompressX set to auto convert my images – a feature I love. I was testing my site’s newsletter using mail-tester.com and keep getting broken link 403 forbidden errors that sees my product images as jpgs instead of avif and therefore show up blank in my test newsletters. When I go to my site and inspect the page I see my images show up as avif’s like they should, so it’s being converted correctly.

I can not figure out where the error is coming from, my newsletter/mail sender MailPoet, or some setting in CompressX that hides the jpgs.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
    Alana

    Hello,

CompressX does not modify your original images during the conversion process. Instead, all converted AVIF and WebP images are stored separately in the /wp-content/compressx-nextgen/ folder.

To troubleshoot, please temporarily deactivate the CompressX plugin; this will disable our .htaccess rules. If the issue persists while the plugin is inactive, it indicates the problem is unrelated to our plugin. Please let us know the results of this test.

    Kind regards.

Thank you for your quick response. I have disabled the plugin and cleared my cache just be sure and the newsletter is still sending blank images, so it’s not CompressX. Must be a problem with MailPoet. Thank you for your help.
