Mediation is a form of alternative dispute resolution that allows parties to resolve conflicts outside of the judicial system. Mediators do not take sides or make decisions for the parties, but work with the parties to identify and discuss issues with the ultimate goal of reaching a resolution.
Effective July 1st, 2022, in all Saskatchewan court jurisdictions, all family matters that proceed to court are required to attempt a family dispute resolution process before they may continue with any further court proceedings. In order to satisfy this requirement, parties must attempt family dispute resolution with a recognized family mediator, family arbitrator, or parenting coordinator. Our Qualified Mediator can assist you through this process in satisfaction of The King’s Bench Act, 2023.
