Oh, today has been just so lovely! I really do love this time of year, when everything is decorated and everyone seems so cheerful. Maybe we'll even get a bit of snow for the holidays!

I hope everyone is looking forward to the Christmas holidays, whether you're returning home or staying here in the castle. Wherever you are, don't forget to count your blessings. We're all so lucky just to be alive.

((ooc: Christmas cracker'd))

I feel the need to apologize to anyone I may have upset with my latest post. That was certainly not my intention. But I must also thank everyone who replied for their compassion and their kind words.

As for the entry itself... I'm not even sure what compelled me to write something like that. Holiday stress, perhaps.

I'm glad to see that everyone seems to be enjoying themselves lately. I'm not so sure I agree with how Mr. Im went about it, but I do agree that, as the weather starts getting colder, we need to take the time to appreciate those closest to us.

Christmastime is always the hardest to bear. It only serves to remind me of how things used to be, before. I miss it so much.

Even surrounded by such lovely people, I feel so alone...

I admit I had some reservations at first, but I'm glad that the auction seems to have gone better than I expected, and that everyone seems excited for the masquerade. I'll be attending as a prefect this year, so it will be my first time.

I think I'll be going as a witch.

I've already discussed this with Professor Dumbledore, and we think it would be for the best if I didn't attend class today. If anyone would be willing to lend me their notes on today's lesson, I'd appreciate it.

[...]

If any other students are having problems today, I would advise them to speak with a prefect, a professor, or the headmaster as well, out of concern for student safety.

((ooc: Mami is staying up in the hospital wing today because flintlock rifles aren't exactly the best thing to have in the classroom. And they keep falling out of her clothes. Every time she moves. She's tried to gather them up as best as she can, but there were an awful lot of them. Feel free to find some that she's dropped but please don't kill anyone.]

It seems that the ink is back to normal now. Honestly I'm a bit disappointed, even if the lighter colours did make it hard to read. It was a rather nice change from just black all the time.

I wonder what caused it?

Oh my. I'm not used to getting owl post at home. I'm glad I was alone when it came; that may have been difficult to explain.

It seems as though I've been selected as prefect for Gryffindor. I certainly wasn't expecting to be, but I'm incredibly honoured by the Headmaster's decision. I'll do my very best to live up to that honour.

Reading the papers this week has been troubling, to say the very least. To think that innocent people are being killed by something they can't possibly understand, or fight back against? It's terrible.

I can only hope that the magical government and their police will have some success soon. I imagine they're the only ones who can. Our police haven't a clue what they're even fighting.

It's almost the summer holidays again. It will be nice to take a break from classes for a while, but I will miss the students here. It's very quiet at my house.

As for the field trip, I won't be attending, but I hope everyone will have a nice time, and that no one gets hurt. Watching the sunrise sounds lovely.

Like how I play Mumi? Got a complaint? Think I could do better? Here's where you can let me know!
