Wireless InSite is a commercial 3D radio‑propagation and channel‑modeling tool used to design and analyze wireless networks in realistic environments. It employs high‑fidelity ray tracing—accounting for reflections, transmissions, diffractions, and diffuse scattering—to predict site‑specific performance from sub‑6 GHz through millimeter‑wave bands. The software supports indoor, outdoor, and complex urban scenes; incorporates frequency‑dependent material properties as well as foliage and atmospheric losses; and works with detailed antenna patterns, phased arrays, and beamforming.
Typical outputs include received power and path‑loss maps, multipath components, channel impulse responses and power‑delay profiles, angle of arrival/departure and spreads, and MIMO channel data—enabling studies for 5G/6G, fixed wireless access, small cells, and V2X scenarios. Users can import 3D geometry from common CAD/GIS sources, assign materials, place transmitters and receivers, run simulations, visualize results, and export data for further post‑processing.
Wireless InSite is developed by Remcom, Inc.. The most popular versions of this product among our users are: 2.5, 2.6 and 2.7. The name of the program executable file is InSite.exe.
