No Comments

More important than being a means to pursue SEO, comments are a way to create community between a writer and readers, but only if the writer wants or has time for it.

I like the idea of readers and correspondence, whether or not I have any, but I have no time or attention for the social and technical overhead of managing comments. My time for this domain goes to researching, writing and editing content, optimizing said content for web consumption, and keeping the associated software up to date. Comments do not fit in.

That might be all you need, but I have more thoughts on the quandaries of comments.
