Hey! My name is Jouni Flemming. I’m a software developer and the creator of WinFindr.
I started to develop WinFindr in 2023. I had been using Windows for a long time and I was always frustrated by the lack of a good file search tool.
Naturally, I was using Everything to search for files - I loved it and I still do.
However, there were some things that I didn’t like about it. The main thing was that I wanted to search for files and folders, but also registry data. I was using Everything to find files and Windows Registry Editor to find registry data. That was rather cumbersome.

I’m Finnish, so this is, in fact, my happy face.
So, I decided to create my own Windows search tool. I wanted to create something that was very easy to use, and that would allow the user to perform the most simplest search operations but also advanced file searching, all within an easy to use UI instead of some command line style parameters and with the ability to customize everything as much as possible.
