Welcome to the Windyway Trust, a dedicated charity (Registered Charity No. 1108111) born in February 2005 from a shared passion for animal welfare right here in Macclesfield, Cheshire. We believe every animal deserves care, compassion, and a chance for a happy life.
Our mission is simple: to relieve the suffering of animals in need. This commitment drives everything we do, from directly supporting the vital work of the Windyway Animal Sanctuary (Windyway Animal Rescue Centre) – rescuing, rehabilitating, and lovingly rehoming unwanted, sick, or mistreated dogs, cats, and other animals – to extending our support to the heroic Search and Rescue dogs of the Peak District Mountain Rescue Teams.
Beyond rescue and rehoming, we’re proud to serve our local community through our pet food bank, located at the Windyway Trust Centre, helping to ensure no beloved pet goes hungry.
The Windyway Trust is powered by the generosity of people like you and the dedication of our incredible volunteers. Through our charity shops on Chestergate and Churchill Way in Macclesfield, local events, sponsored activities, and kind donations, we raise the crucial funds needed to continue our work across Macclesfield and the surrounding areas, including parts of Derbyshire, Staffordshire, and Greater Manchester.
