The Wilds Christian Association

Resources

We desire to help others know God on a deeper level. In addition to presenting God’s Word throughout our camp programs, we provide various growth resources for churches, adults, teens, and juniors.

Training for Youth LEaders

Counsel the Heart Conferences

Based on The Wilds Summer Staff Counseling Training developed over the past 50 years, the Counsel the Heart Conference presents core biblical counseling material regarding the gospel, the process of biblical change, the basic categories of counseling, and specific tools for effectively getting to the heart of any problem. Designed with lay workers in mind, Counsel the Heart provides a helpful venue for local churches to further equip those who work with youth (mentors, youth leaders, school teachers, etc.) to learn how to provide biblical hope and help to young people facing issues of suffering and sin.

Straignt Talk to the Teen’s Heart

LifeLine Mini-books for Teens

God’s Word has the answers to our hard questions. Practical, short, and written specifically to teens, these LifeLine Mini-books are intended to connect biblical truth to key issues teens face in our world.

Churches, youth leaders, parents, and spiritual mentors can use these mini-books as a powerful counseling tool, coming alongside teens as they mine Scriptural depths to answer tough questions.

Reports & Guides

Whitepapers

Intermittently, The Wilds examines a timely topic relevant to our ministry, expertise, and goals and publishes a whitepaper to shed light and stimulate thought, provide answers to a question, or meet a specific need.

6-week Studies

Bible Studies

Our Bible studies for both teens and juniors are set up in a 6-week format and are designed to help young people learn how to have their own personal time with God. Content for teen Bible studies is drawn from individual books of the Bible, while our junior Bible studies hone in on attributes of God, works of God, and character studies on people from the Bible.

Free Bible Study Helps

Keys to Your Own God & I Time

While most followers of Jesus know the importance of reading the Bible, often a gap exists between that knowledge and actually knowing how to read the Bible. One of our most used and distributed resources among staff and campers, this guide will walk you through practical and straightforward goals, tools, and study methods to teach you how to know God personally through His Word.

Help in Times of Trouble

Four Stabilizing Truths

Four Stabilizing Truths encourages meditation on four life-changing principles that Ken Collier captured years ago and can be helpful for both teens and adults. It can either be printed out or filled out electronically. There is also a card available for download that can be a visual reminder of the stability that God has provided for His people. Please feel free to use these resources to encourage others.
