Many B2C online shops in Germany are affected, regardless of size or industry. B2B-only shops with a clear business customer checkout flow are usually outside this scope, but the final legal assessment depends on the individual shop and should be reviewed by the shop owner or legal counsel.
Yes. Widerrufsmanager supports WooCommerce shops with the technical implementation of an electronic withdrawal function under § 356a BGB and Directive (EU) 2023/2673. The plugin provides a structured online workflow where customers can select orders or products and submit a withdrawal request electronically. The final legally compliant implementation still depends on the specific shop setup, including placement, wording, withdrawal policy, privacy policy and configuration. The plugin provides the technical foundation and does not replace individual legal advice.
Yes. The plugin focuses specifically on withdrawal data and is designed not to interfere with legal plugins such as Germanized or German Market. If conflicts occur, our support can help.
All withdrawal data is stored in your own WordPress database. There is no third-party cloud, no external API and no transfer of withdrawal data to our servers.
In the Pro version, individual products, categories or tags can be excluded from the withdrawal process. Which products are legally excluded, for example custom-made goods, remains your responsibility. The plugin provides the technical tools, not legal advice.
Pro customers usually receive an initial response within one business day. Agency customers get access to a dedicated Slack channel for faster communication. Free users are supported via the public WordPress.org forum.
