Find your joy
Does your life look better on paper than it feels in your heart?
Do you feel like something’s missing, but you can’t quite figure out what? We can help. Uncover forgotten dreams and find purpose. Become brighter, bolder, freer.
We were raised to believe that getting the house, doing the job, and/or raising the kids was everything. That looks matter. That when we got all of that right, happiness would follow.
But the reality isn’t that simple. And it’s not your fault.
If you’re feeling lost, it doesn’t mean you’re broken or just need to try harder to be grateful for what you’ve got. Instead, it probably means you’ve been neglecting a part of yourself.
Change is tricky. We know. Our transform courses are here to help make yours as easy as possible. Are you ready for something great? Come on in.
Melissa is an incredible facilitator; the perfect blend of playfulness and compassion with a deep integrity for the work which shines through.

Time to Shine
This course will support you through radical transformation.
Based on Julia Cameron’s book, The Artist’s Way, week on week we will uncover more of the parts you’ve learned to hide away. And I’ll share some of the wisdom from I learned on my counselling skills course, so you grow to understand why change feels hard and become empowered to overcome resistance.
There is absolutely no need to think of yourself as an artist, or even as a creative person. The whole point of the process is that you will reconnect with your natural creativity, and in doing so, learn to live a richer, happier life.
Imagine never feeling bored again! Imagine having loads of ideas and being confident that you can see them through.
Each week will have a different theme, including
- Safety
- Power
- Integrity
- Bravery
- Living in Alignment
The sessions are hugely interactive. A mix of small-group discussion, pairs-work and solo exploration. You’ll be supported to explore, in a way that feels safe and supportive. There will never be any ‘putting on the spot’.
To help you get the most from the experience, we will have an (optional) bonus 1:1 coaching session at the mid-point.
The Artist’s Way has been changing lives since 1992. If you are ready to find your true self and live a more joyful life, this is the course for you
Oh how things have changed! Thanks to the Artist's Way and all the coaching and counselling exploration I've done. Since then: a stand-up comedy course, performing at poetry slams, dabbling in all kinds of arts and am part-way through my first novel. I am more alive, more open to all the possibilities for joy in our beautiful everyday world. If this sounds like something you want too, come join me. I'd love to help you find your passion, your joy, your true self.

New Beginnings
Hit your fifties and lost your mojo? You’re not alone. Transitioning into retirement, adapting to an empty nest, or perhaps dealing with emerging health issues, can leave you wondering who you are and what on earth comes next.
Our New Beginnings programme is designed specifically for individuals aged 50 and over who are at a pivotal point in life. It’s a collaboration between three experts in mental and physical well-being, just the ticket for helping you rediscover some purpose, peace – and joy!
Through a blend of physical activity, nutrition inspiration and gentle mindset practice, our supportive sessions will give you space and time to reconnect with yourself. Our aim is that you’ll come away feeling nurtured, more confident and ready for whatever the next chapter brings.
We’re so excited to see what impact our ‘trinity of self-care’ approach has.
Here’s what we’re offering …
- Nutrition: Learn how to nourish your body in a way that boosts energy, focus, and overall wellness. Hannah’s approach is all about finding the joy in food. Easy recipes that make delicious food and give great results. If you’ve lost your love of cooking (or never had it in the first place!) this will help you find the love of food in a healthy way.
- Nordic Walking: A fun and accessible way to get active and improve your cardiovascular health, all while connecting with nature. It’s better than ‘ordinary’ walking because you build upper body strength too. What’s more, there’s less impact on the joints, and as an extra bonus, it’s great for building a strong core too!! Don’t worry if you haven’t done any exercise for a while – we will go very gently. This is a great way to rebuild fitness.
- Mindset Work: So many of us go through life thinking ‘there must be more to it than this’. There is! And these sessions will help you find out what makes your heart sing. If you’ve spent the rest of your life looking after others or taking care of business, it’s time for a change. Self-first isn’t selfish. You deserve more.
How does it work?
Choose from a mini-retreat day (perfect for getting a taste of the full programme) or sign up for our signature six-week programme.
Who are we?
I’m collaborating with two brilliant people:
Hannah Barth – a registered nutritionist and NHS nurse with a passion for helping people reconnect with their bodies and build a joyful, nourishing relationship with food.
Sue Holden, owner of Exe Nordic Walking. Sue teaches the 10-step method of Nordic Walking and leads weekly walks for groups in the Exeter area.
Whether you’re looking to feel more energetic, become more active, or simply enjoy life to the fullest, this programme will give you the tools and support to make lasting changes.
We don't just want to create the programme though. We want to create a community. Life can feel pretty tough. Creating space for people to come together, get a sense of connection and offer each other inspiration and motivation.
This is what will really help make participants later life magnificent. Finding like-minded people with common interests - doing healthy activities in a joyful way. No pressure. Friendship, activity and fun. We can't wait to see where it leads. .
