WhyReboot 1.0.1.537 is a program to help you decide if rebooting your PC is really necessary.
After installing programs, very often the installer asks you to reboot your computer. Quite often, no reboot is really needed.

The most common reason to require a reboot after an installation is to update or delete a file currently open, such as a core component of the system, or the binary executable file that is used by a running application.

Another reason is to allow the installer to clean up after itself.

WhyReboot checks the pending file operations (rename, delete, etc) that will occur after rebooting your computer, helping you to evaluate the convenience of rebooting your computer.

WhyReboot doesn´t install in your system. Is just and executable file that checks your system when run, and that shutdowns itself when you press the "Dismiss" button.

From the program, you can copy the log results to the clipboard, or press the Refresh button to check your system again. You will also have a link to visit the developer´s page.
