What is ... Who’s Your Neighbor?

A public directory—published monthly within the pages of the Ithaca Times—connecting residents, students and visitors of Tompkins County, New York, and the surrounding region, with faith communities, faith-related services, and interfaith activities.

Across our region, faith communities are caring and acting in powerful ways. Who’s Your Neighbor? makes that work visible, accessible, and connected.

What Is the Directory?

Our Who's Your Neighbor? Directory is a living, public resource that highlights:

  • Faith communities
  • Faith-related services
  • Interfaith activities

This directory is open to all faith traditions committed to the well-being of their communities.

Why It Matters

“Keeping faith with neighbors” may help see more deeply the wealth of our spiritual or religious practices, as well as the value of relationships across differences.

Many faith groups are:

  • Serving families: children, youth and adults
  • Addressing the challenges of living here
  • Working within blocks or miles of one another

But often without knowing of each other.

By making assets visible and connections easier, the directory helps:

  • Reduce duplication to foster greater effectiveness for common issues
  • Acknowledge and appreciate greater depth in addressing differences
  • Strengthen collaboration
  • Build trust across traditions

Lay the groundwork for collective impact
